MATTHEWS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman was charged with assault after allegedly hitting a man with her vehicle during a domestic dispute.

The Matthews Police Department was contacted by the Union County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, reporting that they had located an injured man in need of medical treatment who they believed had been struck by a vehicle in Matthews.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the man was airlifted for medical treatment and is now listed in stable condition.

It was later discovered that the man was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of 9330 E. Independence Blvd., Matthews, that was being driven by Anna Luree Lippincott.

Lippincott was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lippincott, who was taken into custody by the Stallings Police Department and transported to the Union County Jail.
