(NewsNation) — Chick-fil-A is celebrating 80 years of business with new menu items, free food and throwback merchandise, the popular fast-food chain announced Monday.
In a news release, Chick-fil-A announced new frosted sodas and floats set to join the menu permanently. The sodas “are hand-spun with Icedream and Guests’ choice of fountain beverage,” according to the release.
The Atlanta-based chain will also sell “retro-style” classic cups for $3.99, “with a new design every few weeks featuring inspiration from the Chick-fil-A archives,” according to the release.
Lucky customers may receive the Golden Fan Cup design, and 3,000 people who receive the cup will win a year of free Chick-fil-A.
The Original Chicken Sandwich Meal will also receive a nostalgic spin this year. The classic meal, which includes a chicken sandwich, fries and a fountain drink, will be sold in retro packaging inspired by early Chick-fil-A designs.
Specialty plush cow stuffed animals will also roll out this year in different designs, along with new merchandise, apparel and accessories available for purchase at Chick-Fil-A’s online store.
The fast food chain has expanded rapidly in recent years. The company says it has more than 3,000 locations in 48 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada.
